I've discovered a product that contains Infared LED bulbs that speeds up the process of wound healing. The Infared LED treatment also have been said to relief pain in joints and reverse the again in skin. The product is called Deep Penetrating Light Therapy (DPL) System.
The DPL System contains 154 infared LEDs and 20 red LEDs-Light Emitting Diodes. These wavelengths contain safe healing effects. The infared light stimulates the skin to produce collagen and elastin. When infared light that is fabricated from the LED wavelength gets in contact with your skin, the skin produces increasing levels of collagen and elastin which are the proteins that are responsible for your skin's tone and elasticity. There has been over 2000 scientific cases of how infared therapy has been proven to have sinificant benefits towards towards the skin and the body.
The key property of the near infrared waves is that they bypass the epidermis and are absorbed throughout the dermis, causing dermal heating. Dermal heating with infrared waves has both immediate and long-term effects. The immediate effect is heat-induced collagen contraction, which may cause mild and possibly short-term skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. More importantly, the longer-term effect is skin remodeling, which takes place for up to six month after the initial heating. This may lead to a longer-term improvement in wrinkles and some skin tightening, although individual responses vary significantly. On average, wrinkle improvements are moderate: small and medium wrinkles and acne scars (especially pitted ones) often noticeably improve. Deep wrinkles, especially those due to facial movement, are less likely to get much better.
Studies from Nasa about LED Therapy suggest that, "Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) offer an effective alternative to lasers. These diodes can be made to produce multiple wavelengths, and can be arranged in large, flat arrays allowing treatment of large wounds. Potential benefits to NASA, military, and civilian populations include treatment of serious burns, crush injuries, non-healing fractures, muscle and bone atrophy, traumatic ischemic wounds, radiation tissue damage, compromised skin grafts, and tissue regeneration." The Deep Penetrating Light™ (DPL™) Therapy System is proven to reduce the effects of aging - wrinkles, fine lines and crow's-feet. Through the use of proprietary Light Emitting Diodes based on the NASA Study for wound healing for the Space Shuttle program, the DPL™ System goes deep into the skin, stimulating fibroblasts, also called protien cells, which then create new collagen and elastin thus reducing wrinkles. Dermatologist and Doctors have been using LED lights for years to successfully reduce wrinkles. Commercial systems cost between $6,000 - $36,000.
